Pomegranate Cottage and Bombay Boudoir is the perfect getaway spot, in the heart of Suurbraak historical mission village. Just over two hours drive from Cape Town set just off the iconic Garden Route in the majestic Overberg region, the
cottage offers respite from the city, a great place for folks and children to enjoy the river, the mountain, perfect for mountain biking, historical tours of the mission village, hiking, birding, or just kicking back and chilling.
Originally built in 1815 and restored in 2010, with the Bombay Boudoir renovated caravan added on in 2015, the cottage and glamping caravan accommodates 4 people comfortably.
The outdoor shower is a hit! There is a separate toilet, indoor shower with basin.
Enjoy long evenings sitting at the firepit, stargazing. The daybeds on the back verandah and at the boudoir offer great afternoon nap spots. The bench and chairs in the front of the house offer the perfect spot for shaded and cool afternoon traffic and people-watching as the village passes you by.
The cottage has aircon for those ridiculously hot summer days when not even the chickens move. The wood-burning stove provides heat during the winter when the mountains are dusted with snow.
Surrounded by mountains, rivers and people that have a historical relationship with the land, this is a place to regenerate your soul, invigorate your spirit, get back to the earth, ground yourself and enjoy the space we’ve created to restore the balance.
